I'm Back! Sort of! Cough Cough

Well, I am forcing myself to get back into the swing of things this week.  When last we spoke, I was headed to a series of US Speaker’s Bureau events in Italy and Slovenia.  As a part of that visit I also spent significant time in one of my favorite places, Pompeii. 

When I returned from Europe, I must have timed things perfectly because I landed right in the middle of an allergy megastorm on the US East Coast.  The result, I have had bronchitis for over two weeks and it doesn’t seem to be improving.  Globally, German Chancellor Scholz reached record low levels of support, while, just yesterday, President Biden won one of the bigger successes of his term as the House and Senate voted a $90 billion plus budget amendment to provide military support to Ukraine, Taiwan, and Israel.

Meanwhile, the Spring Academic term is coming to an end.  So lots of grading and term end issues to attend to.  In other words, in the last few weeks I’ve been immersed in nearly all of my core issues.  Which means that in the coming weeks there will be a lot to talk about!

For now, though, time to go and cough some more.  Substance will follow next week, I promise!
